DEF LEPPARD Sponsors Mini Rugby Team In Cardiff

According to BBC News, DEF LEPPARD has sponsored a mini rugby team from Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom.

The band got involved with Rhiwbina under-10s teamed with the band through one of the team's coaches, Richard Proctor, who has created some of DEF LEPPARD's artwork.

DEF LEPPARD singer Joe Elliott told BBC News he was delighted to sponsor the team "because Richard is a longtime friend of mine and he works closely with the band."

He added: "When [Richard] told me he needed a sponsor, I jumped at the chance, only afterwards did I realise it was a rugby and not a footy team!"

Regarding the shirts, Elliott said: "Like all things with our logo on it, I think it looks spectacular.

"I'm not sure it's going to guarantee a winning team every week though, but at least they will look cool."
